Photography started for me when I got a digital camera for my birthday. I always liked looking at photographs and I was fascinated by the world around me ever since I was a little kid. So when I got this camera for my 16th birthday this hobby grabbed me right away.
Because of websites and online photography communities I developed my knowledge and I forced myself to make better photographs. A year after my 16th birthday I bought myself a DSLR which brought my photography to a higher level.
Nowadays photography is that what I love most to do and I am constantly watching the sky to see if the conditions are good for an evening session.
Because the landscape has always fascinated me and I always dreamed about travelling to moderate wild areas I soon found out my true passion of photography lay in the landscape. With my photography I try to show how I experience the landscape. Therefore I try to photograph on the moments on which the light is at its best. A photograph has to describe the feeling of the soul of the landscape. It is not my goal to photograph the landscape as natural as possible but with the exposure and composition I try to emphasize my feeling of being there at that moment.
Though I don’t strive to super realistic images I don’t feel for photo-manipulation in my post-processing.
For my photographs I use the following equipment:
Nikon D60
Nikkor 18 - 55 mm
Nikkor 55 - 200 mm
Sigma 10 - 20 mm
Nikon 50 mm f/1.4
Nikon Speedlight SB-600
Canon S80
Polariser
Velbon Tri-pod
Nikon Remote Shutter
...and sometimes I use my grandfathers old filmcamera. |
